Canada Day Celebration & BBQ Lunch, Featuring the Pet Valu – Haute Dog Parade (Parade starts 11:30am sharp)

The Pet Valu Haute Dog Parade – Canada Day 2024
The Upper Stoney Lake Association (USLA) is excited to present the first annual Pet Valu Haute Dog Canada DayParade. Please join us at the USLA Pavilion at Crowe’s Landing on July 1st to celebrate Canada Day, and participate in the Haute Dog Parade, enjoy lunch, music, festivities, and fun! The Parade venue opens at 11:00 am and the Parade will commence at 11:30 am sharp. Everyone is welcome to join in the parade to show off their fabulous canine and couture.
Fancy Dress Ribbons will be awarded for the following categories:
- Best Dressed Haute Dog;
- Best Coordinated Owner-Dog Outfits;
- Best Float (can be a wagon, kiddie car, pram etc.)
- Best Group
- Best Pet Trick; and more!
The USLA invites dog owners, their dogs, and families to embrace our Nation’s Birthday and to decorate themselves and their pooch in festive attire. For children without a pup, a well-dressed stuffed pet will be a spectacular substitute. Awards will be presented by the judges at the conclusion of the Pet Valu Haute Dog Parade.
Lunch will include barbequed hot dogs and hamburgers, salad, dessert, and a drink. Your $10+ donation for lunch is appreciated. Beer and wine will also be available.

Pet Friendly Rules:
- A “float” can be elaborate or as simple as a decorated bicycle, wagon or kiddie car.
- Only non-motorized floats are eligible and each float must include at least one pet.
- All types of dogs are welcome. Children without pets are encouraged to bring stuffed animals.
- Groups are encouraged to identify themselves with a banner or sign.
- All dogs must remain leashed.
- Rabies and vaccinations must be current.
- Dogs must wear I.D. tags at all times.
- No dogs in heat.
- No aggressive dogs.
- Costumes must be safe and comfortable for dogs.
- Dogs that are older, flat-faced, have breathing issues, or dressed in very hot costumes can walk past the judges and exit the parade route. Your dog’s safety is the priority.
- No puppies under 4 months or w/o vaccinations.
